I wanted to draw attention to a problem or what I see as a problem in the world. And that is the promotion of Rape Culture whether it be something as cute looking as pedobear or mocking rape in general, by using phrases such as “I’m gonna rape ________.”
These aren’t acceptable what so ever. When was the last time rape was considered normal or healthy or wanted by anyone? Women, children, men have all been raped, and for the most part ignored. but what is even sicker, what i view as the lowest possible crime is subjecting someone to what is called corrective rape.
‘Corrective rape’, the vicious practice of raping lesbians to ‘cure’ their sexuality, is becoming a crisis in South Africa. Activists on the ground are risking their lives to stop this brutal crime and have got the government’s attention. Let’s support them — a global outcry now could force the government to take concrete and urgent action.
Please my friends sign this petition and send it to your friends or co-workers, whether these woman be lesbians or out mothers or sisters, these rapes and crimes are taking place and that is unacceptable!
Also on the April 1st weekend there is an important protest taking place, go out there and support your loved ones, girlfriends, friends, etc.
